6 Erwr Brenhinoedd Reviews

Very kind and welcoming hosts as they provided thoughtful food and drink items for us to use in the kitchen on arrival. Clean, warm and comfortable house. Well maintained and conveniently situated for us.
Angela Elizabeth
Perfect accommodation for the three of us, homely, light, comfortable and thoughtfully well stocked, with some nice welcome items. Directions and information were provided, detailed and accurate. Property has a car parking space behind but it was a bit tight for us to get in and out of our SUV so we parked on the road without any issues. behind the car park is a small branch line train station you can hear the train warning siren a few times a day and the train passing through, neither are too loud or intrusive. we enjoyed hearing and seeing them. a lovely rural feature. It has good road links for tourism. We enjoyed our week there.

The house was lovely and cozy when the sun was out,but on dark and wet days we would of liked to have the heating on in the living room. There was no information how things work in the house. Very annoying was the smoke detecter.Even when the kitchen window was open and Kitchen door closed the alarm went.As cooking or making toast.
We very much enjoyed our stay, lovely cottage, in a lovely part of the world. Everyone very friendly. Would be nice to have had a visitors book, we are sure there would have been plenty of good comments. Thank you.
A lovely little house, in a very friendly village. We were made to feel very welcome by everyone we met.The house was very clean and attractively done out inside. The location is a great for visiting all the local gems Carmarthenshire has to offer. The only negative was that we didnt sleep very well. The beds at the property were very small for a double and a single and the mattress & pillows neither supportive or comfortable. This was a real shame, as the rest of our stay was fab.
The property is well situated near the village of Llandybie providing everything you need for a self catering break. The house is warm modern and well furnished. We had a fantastic stay and will stay again. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The owner left lovely welcome food and was very supportive and helpful. Brilliant stay.
The double bed was very small, we could not both fit. So, I attempted to sleep on the sofa. We can home on the Wednesday morning instead of Friday,I could catch up with sleep. It was nice to have two pint of milk in the fridge, I dont take milk, the handle is loose on the cooker, the conservatory blinds were broken and so was the curtain holder on the right. The shops are nice and close, but I do not remember being in formed it was next to the train station the noises. Overall we would not book again.
We had a fantastic holiday we will be using the property again near shops fantastic area
Good location, short walk to the village centre, Coop and other shops etc nearby. We knew the cottage was near the train station but didn't realise it was close to a barrier crossing, the warning bleeps when the barriers operated occasionally disturbed our sleep, but we got used to it. Upon entering the cottage we immediately detected a strong 'doggy' smell, we have stayed in many dog friendly cottages before but this is the first time we have experienced this, we bought an air freshener and left it there for the next customer. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of this cottage, particularly downstairs. The leather sofa had a sort of powdery feel to it maybe the aftereffect of a cleaning agent, there was clear visible evidence that vacuuming wasn't done properly dog hairs were found on the living room rug especially round the edges, and under the front of the leather sofa. An empty used dog food dish was found under the TV cabinet. Dirty window ledges in the conservatory. There was no Visitor Book or customer info pack found. We noticed a WiFi password code cellotaped to the TV cabinet but no router SSID name so we had to guess which one it was. There was a small leak to the cloakroom radiator which we we left a note about. There was water collected in the bottom of the fridge which we wiped up every day. The front door lock was loose. The cupboard on the upstairs landing had numerous mens clothing items hung up which we found a little odd. We felt overall that there were general cleanliness and some maintenance issues with this property. To finish on a positive, there is plenty of parking close by, and the overall room sizes were good, and great cupboard space in the main bedroom.

There was no Visitors book which was a shame as people often leave comments on places to visit which are helpful and we therefore could not leave our own comments.
Very enjoyable stay in a lovely well equipped house. Great location for daily neccessitiessmall supermarket, bakers, chemist, take away, pub are 2 minutes away.Quiet friendly neighbourhood and outstanding scenary only a short drive from the house.Would definetely stay when in the area again.
Louise
We had a lovely stay at this property, was the perfect base for a variety of walks along the coast and in the Bannau Brycheiniog. The house itself was warm and well equipped for a home away from home for a week. Wed love to stay again
A perfect small place for us. Ideal for striking out to the coast or inland walks.Very nicely maintained by the owners.
This house was like a warm hug around us after a difficult few months. The location was brilliant with coop, charity shop, pharmacist , butchers and haitdressers with in 4 mins walk. Also a pack for our grandchildren which they enjoyed. There were a few things that needed maintenance but the owners sorted our immediately. Could do with egg cups and a bigger bed as we are both tall. The train station isn't uses a lot but even when in use it is quiet and doesn't disturb in any way. The house is very peaceful and restful to be in. We would stay again. Sally

Nice homely accommodation to stay in. Would be nice if there was something to hang clothes in second bedroom. Also an information file regarding where to leave laundry, passcode for internet and what are the rules for recycling ect
Helena
Quiet and relaxing stay

Whilst at the property I contacted Sykes to comment on the front door lock being loose, the front door being all scuffed and marked, how the grill was covered in grease, how there was mold in the shower and conservatory and generally how the property was in need of basic maintenance. Sykes replied dismissively saying the owner had been made aware which irked me as the issues couldnt be missed and the owner would have been fully aware of these obvious issues prior to our arrival. Photos taken if required.
We found the property to be generally clean, comfortable and wellequipped, but the grill pan was dirty on arrival and the chopping board was covered in crumbs, the conservatory blinds needed a good clean and we weren't impressed by the double bed mattress which we found very hot and skimpy sized, resulting in one of us sleeping in the single room. A clothes airer andor washing line would be useful and a draining board rack.

Property was clean and cosy, in a good location for exploring west Wales.
The property was okay and we liked the quality of the furniture comfortable sofas and bed although the bed was squeaky. Fantastic private garden for dogs. The property has a private parking space although under an archway at the rear of the house not easily accessible to the property and would suit smaller vehicles Which we couldn't use due the size of our vehicle. Also the train station is extremely close we stayed over the weekend and didn't hear many trains until Monday morning when we noticed the noise. The property is listed as a semidetached and is actually an end terrace. The area is currently being extended and building works are on going which was irritating and not ideal. On the whole the property it's self has most of the things you will need for an adequate stay we did have to soak and rewash pots and pans which we shouldn't have had to do, although that's probably down to the previous occupants. The overall cleanliness is good and the the property is acceptable however just be careful when using the shower
Helena
Lovely stay and excellent support provided throughout. Would strongly recommend
Such a delightful property. Its situated conveniently next to small railway station. The house was beautifully decorated and the smart television was a huge bonus. I had some cosy nights on the reclining sofa watching Netflix. The kitchen is small but had everything you need and as the house sleeps 3 it was perfectly adequate. The village boasts some lovely pubs and the Red Lion is welcoming with a variety of food. Dogs are made welcome as the owner adores them. Theres pizza takeaway and two fish and chip shops to choose from. The local butchers has quality food and the local bakery and coop offers all the provisions you could want. Tesco is also a few miles up the road. I cant fault the area, the house and the owners as I was made to feel very welcome.
Lovely cosy home in a beautiful part of Wales. We really liked the modern decor, the electric reclining sofa was a real luxury. A couple of minor niggles would be the bed wasnt as comfortable and a bit creaky and the lack of a vacuum made it difficult to keep clean. Having said that it was great value for money and would love to go back.
Charles
A lovely place to stay. A big thankyou to the owners for allowing us the use of their lovely holiday home I have only one suggestion a hoover would be useful.
Lovely accommodation, stylish decor with a modern Welsh feel. The house was very comfortable with good facilities and was well located for visiting attractions in the area. The designated offroad parking space was very convenient but there are also a variety of shops in the village just a couple of minutes away on foot. The Red Lion pub in the village was excellent for both drinking and eating booking in advance highly recommended.
Fantastic house but the internet is not have great signal.
