Cwtch Lodge 42 Reviews

Would 100 recommend this lodge, will look to return for another short break
Great lodge nice quiet park
Rosalyn
This lodge is advertised as excellent and I note there are no review since April 2025. The photos are not a true picture of the lodge, the kitchen appliances, sofas and the double mattress in the second bedroom need replacing. Steve the Contract Cleaner is doing his best, to clean a lodge which is in need of a refurb. There is mould on the base of the single divans, the flooring in the family bathroom needs replacing too. I paid over 900 for a week and I would have expected a better standard of accommodation. Where I appreciate dogs are allowed to stay, this cannot be blamed for the state of the lodge. You have a duty to advertise up to date photos which should be given to you by the owners on a regular basis. I know you won't put my review on your website but maybe you should. Disappointed customer I wont be booking with Sykes Cottage again!!

Booking with Sykes presented no problems as usual . The caretaker Stuart very helpfully managed to prepare the lodge by 3.0pm to enable us to occupy early after a 5hour drive from north Shropshire. The lodge was clean, tidy and comfortable and we all enjoyed our stay once again at the Heritage Park, many thanks
Kathryn

We enjoyed our stay very much. Stuart was very helpful on the run up to our arrival and checked with us when we arrived if everything was ok. The lodge was clean and beds were made which was nice. We would definitely stay there again.
Hannah
What a find! This place exceeded our expectations. Communication was excellent, the lodge is very comfy, homely and just a short walk through a wooded path to the sea. The lodge is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, very spacious and has everything you would need and more. Little things like USB plugs, Apple airplay on the TV and welsh cakes are a huge thumbs up from us. We are already planning our return stay, I think this sums up how highly we thought of Cwtch Lodge 42!
Michelle
Lovely holiday home, well thought out to make the stay an excellent experience. Spacious for ourselves and three children with a dog also. Nice to have towels provided in the past previous places we have stayed did not have this. Also felt supported that it we did have a problem maintenance would be around straight away. Luckily we didnt. We would return.

On the first day, we had an issue with the toaster not working. I rang the owner by mistake who told me to ring the manager on site. I rang the manager and Stuart came immediately and lent us a brand new replacement toaster until he could find out what was wrong with the toaster as it was obviously not working. Five minutes later the manager came back to remove the brandnew toaster as he had been instructed by the owner that there was nothing wrong with the toaster we had and that we had to hold it in a certain way. We tried the way we were instructed to use it but it was hopeless and ridiculous as a toaster is easy to use, still could not get the toaster to work, Stuart the manager of the site was excellent and went out of his way to help us but unfortunately, he had to do as instructed. We went out and bought our own toaster. There were no books or DVDs in the lodge as stated and just the basic of items, no frills or luxuries. It is a beautiful lodge. We have stayed on this beautiful site for the past four years in a variety of lodges and have always been very happy with the standard provided. This was the first visit to this particular lodge and it will be our last.

Stopped at Cwtch lodge for five nights. Very pleased with lodge. Very clean and tidy. Beds comfortable and everyone slept well Bathrooms excellent and towels lovely and fluffy . Lounge furniture also very comfortable and homely. Kitchen well equipped with everything needed to cook small or large meals. Great outdoor furniture, which unfortunately never got to use rain and more rain! would definitely stop here again.. Highly recommend
A beautiful lodge within a well maintained site. The lodge was in perfect condition. Like a show home! A 5 minute drive to Saundersfoot, Wisemans bridge and Kilgetty. Lovely walks locally. The children enjoyed exploring the Stepaside iron works site.
Beautiful, comfortable, well equipped lodge.
Louise

Stuart is excellent
We had a really fun time, cwtch lodge is a really beautiful lodge it's exactly as described it's furnished to a very high standard we absolutely love spending time together in such nice surroundings. Would highly recommend as the whole site is well looked after to a high standard.
A pleasant location well tended grounds Pleasant Valley has a relaxing feel good environment. Cwtch Lodge 42 was well presented and a joy to stay in just a couple of points to draw ones attention to the third bedroom requires curtains! The lodges are a little to close to each other hence privacy required! A few of the pots and pans are past their sell by dates! need replacing. Overall 910 a lovely lodge.
Adrian
Lovely lodge very well equipped very clean and very bright and comfortable would definitely recommend
Louise
Comfortable lodge, had everything we needed for a peaceful self catering holiday, spotless clean in picturesque surroundings. Great walks on your doorstep to the nearby beaches, take around 20 mins dont need to be super fit. Good for families and dog owners who enjoy a quiet relaxing break. Also caretaker Stuart is extremely helpful and ensures your lodge is in spotless condition.

Great advantage being able to take the dog. Everything clean and comfortable but lacked clear instructions on using tv especially in the master bedroom which we were unable to use.
We absolutely love visiting the Heritage park in Pleasant valley as a whole family. Peaceful, clean, smart and relaxing. It was a perfect visit. We most definitely look forward to come back.
The lodge was simply brilliant a real home from home feel! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already planning another break in 2022. Would definitely recommend thanks again!
We had a lovely stay over Xmas, everything we needed was there, plenty of hot water and lovely and warm and comfortable. Only drawback was having to always drive to get morning papers, the 3 over 70s do like to still have one!!! The only grumble was the weather, I would love to be there in the summer, its a beautiful place. Must also mention Stuart, he was always ready to pick up his phone if we had a query. Would definitely give Cwtch Lodge 42 5 stars.
Everything good, however lots of problems with hot water and ni tv working in ... Everything good, however lots of problems with hot water and ni tv working in master bedroom only stayed 50 of my stay as could not get hot water
