Eryl Reviews

Andrew
5 star cottage with wonderful views over the estuary, very comfortable and clean. Peaceful and quiet with lots of wildlife to see. Owners were very helpful with a small problem with the heating when we first arrived. very nice welcome pack with lots of Welsh treats. Will definitely come back
Katharine
Lovely cottage in a very quiet location with super views of the estuary
Cecilia
Fabulous chalet in a beautiful, quiet location.
John
Lovely accommodation in beautiful location. Walks along the beach at low tide are a must.
Helen
I donâ??t think you could find a more tranquil spot from which to watch the tides flow and the birds feed on the banks. There is even a sparrowâ??s nest in the roof of the shed which was very entertaining as were the bats that flew at dusk. Itâ??s also perfect to walk out of the cottage straight onto the beach and then walk into Llansteffan for breakfast.
Stacey
We have enjoyed a fantastic holiday at Eryl and found the location absolutely stunning. To be able to access the beach from our own decking was wonderful and felt very special. We loved slow mornings drinking coffee on the deck and watching the tides ebb and flow. The lounge/sun room was super comfy and very relaxing. Llansteffan is a lovely village with the ruined castle watching over it; just a short walk from the holiday cottage - about 15 minutes. The Castle was good for a friendly drink and the food was nice too. Inn at the Sticks was exceptional, 'Welsh Tapas', small plates which were delicious. The area was really interesting, we especially enjoyed walks around Laugharne and Pendine Sands plus a marvellous trip to the National Botanic Garden of Wales which is dog friendly on Monday and Friday.
Lee
Outstanding chalet - beautiful interior! The location is simply amazing - lovely beach walks just a few steps down from the decking, picturesque and friendly village and a castle !
John
Had a lovely week break in a beautiful hidden location. Chalet was comfy and cozy with a log fire. Beach right on the doorstep. Perfect base to explore this part of Wales.
Helen
We had a wonderful two weeks at the cottage, watching the tides come in and the birds feeding on the shore. We walked into the village most mornings for coffee or breakfast and had some fabulous meals at the Sticks. We also managed to get up to the castle and have fish and chips on the beach. Our dog loved the beach and his long walks along the sands. Carnarvon is close enough to be useful for larger shopping trips. We enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked another visit in the summer!
Fiona
We loved every minute at Eryl . Such a perfect location and beautifully kept chalet. We canâ??t wait to come again. Debbie was very helpful with our queries.
Stella
We had a lovely week in spite of the driving rain and strong winds. The cabin was cosy and pretty with an absolutely stunning setting right on the beach. Loved watching the curlews wading and the toytown trains across the estuary. A visit to Dylan Thomasâ?? home in Laugharne and a walk up to Llansteffan castle were our highlights.
Kirsty
Beautiful location, right on the beach. Lovely welcome pack and great communication from owner, who happy to help with any issues. Otherwise had everything we needed for self-catering break and we had an amazing holiday enjoying the decking in the sun and stunning beach right on the doorstep.
Julie
Our stay at Eryl was lovely. Waking up to that view was picture perfect, and being able to step out of the door and go for a stroll on the beach, amazing. The owners went over and above to make sure it was a perfect holiday. We all came back fully rested, even the kids! We would definitely book again.
Charlotte
Absolutely stunning ! The location and house are just perfect and the accommodation is more spacious than it appears in the photos . The welcome hamper was such a lovely touch and the owners couldn't have been more helpful . My little boy and my dog had the time of their lives running up and down the beach and playing on the grass. It really is a magical place and we hope to return again .
Angela

The location was absolutely stunning being right on the estuary with long beautiful walks on the doorstep. The chalet was fabulous and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our week sitting on the decking watching the wonderful wild life and the changing tides. A truly wonderful relaxing week.

What a fantastic pre Christmas break Beautiful house with such wonderful welcoming gifts We would love to come back in the summer The dog loved it 3 walks a day
Julia
Wonderful Cottage/Chalet in an idyllic setting! The whole home was clean, modern and has everything you need to facilitate your stay next to the water. Everyone enjoyed tucking in to our welcome hamper, and the decoration and thoughtful touches around the place made it feel really homely for us (we stayed over Christmas). I think our dog had the best time of all, running free on the beach and exploring! Memorable moments for us included, bird watching, train spotting and listening to the crackle of the wood fire and the waves crashing on the beach of an evening. Thank you! We would definitely recommend if you are looking for a peaceful getaway next to the sea with all the comforts of home.
Debbie
Excellent place for a quiet retreat at any time of year. Walks were lovely, and the wood burner so cosy. Fantastic food in the village . Foodies will love the Inn on the Sticks, and great traditional pub food at the Castle. Or enjoy your home cooking with a lovely view of the Estuary! Loved it want to live there!
We had the best time ever We loved the wildness and the ragged beauty what an amazing week
