Meadowsweet Bwthyn is a hand-crafted timber cabin sitting within a four-acre riverside wildflower meadow in Carmarthenshire, West Wales. Built from locally sourced timber with a living sedum roof, this octagonal open-plan cabin is managed for wildlife. Foxes, badgers, kingfishers and even otters have been spotted here. It sleeps two adults only.
The meadow sits just west of Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons). Cwmdu village is half a mile away with a community-run pub and shop. Llandeilo market town is seven miles out with independent shops and places to eat.

Inside you get a hand-crafted solid-oak double bed with a pocket-sprung luxury mattress and 400 thread-count Egyptian cotton linens. The en-suite has a rainfall shower and locally made toiletries. The kitchen has an electric oven and two-ring induction hob.
Carreg Cennen Castle (14 miles / 25 mins), Dinefwr Castle and Newton House (7 miles / 15 mins), The National Botanic Garden of Wales (18 miles / 30 mins) and Llyn y Fan Fach (16 miles / 30 mins) are all within easy reach.
The sunken bath on the wraparound deck and riverside hammock make Meadowsweet Bwthyn a genuinely special couples retreat. Adults only. No hot tub but the sunken outdoor bath more than compensates.

The nearest railway station is Llandeilo, approximately seven miles from the property. From there, a local taxi will take you directly to the cabin in around 15 minutes.
