Old Vicarage Cottage Reviews

Paul
This is one of the best cottages we have stayed in over 20 years. The warm informative welcome we received from Clare and Paul was amazing, so much knowledge on the history of the place. the highlight of our week however was the amazing Pixie, 93 years young and so active around her beautifully kept garden. She was so friendly and i loved our daily chats together. Was so sad to leave.
Barbara
We feel really lucky to have been able to stay in this very special cottage. It has so much character and has been so sympathetically restored. The owner, who lives next door in the main building, was also willing to share with us the marvellous garden she has created there. I particularly enjoyed sitting in the shade by the pond and watching the dragonflies. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday!
Ian
This is a beautiful cottage with many interesting features especially the huge fireplace with a bread oven and smokery and the many old beams dating back hundreds of years. It is exceptionally well equipped with a modern kitchen and bathroom and a very spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed. The garden is magnificent with beautiful sitting out areas and is tended by the delightful owner Pixie who is 93 and put us to shame with her stamina. The surrounding countryside is lovely and very quiet and there is much to do both inland and at the coast. We had a super week and would highly recommend this cottage as a perfect relaxing getaway.
Jean
Cannot fault the hospitality of Pixie, Claire and Paul. Couldn't wish for more delightful hosts. The cottage had everything needed. A very relaxing break in a wonderful setting, the gardens are incredible. Would highly recommend.
Eric
A lovely cosy cottage set in wonderful gardens with all the amenities you could wish for. To top it off the weather was lovely too.
Barry Edwin
We thought it was one of the best places we had stayed at. Beautifully furnished and an extensive and lovely garden. Charming hosts
Susan
Lovely cottage. Very comfortable with everything we needed.
Martin
The peace and tranquility of this place is special. Itâ??s on a bus route between Cardigan and Carmarthen, the bus stop being close, which was handy for us, with the nearest pub 3miles away. That being so, we were happy to spend much of our time chilling in the wonderful gardens, tended by the amazing Pixie, 92, who lives next door, assisted by her extended family. The countryside is beautiful, but the footpaths could be better maintained. Council I guess. The house itself is extremely comfortable, and immaculate, the old charm adding to the surroundings.
Brian
The cottage was best placed for local beaches ,towns and walks .It was very clean and comfortable , very large bedroom with en suite . The garden was amazing with pond and several seating areas a real oasis, beautifully kept by pixie the owner who was amazing.
Robert
The cottage was lovely my wife and I slept like logs no noise no light pollution just peaceful
Peter
This cottage has a lot going for it but the internet connection is unacceptable. I could not access my mobile internet from the property. Internet access is like water or electricity. Essential.
William
This cottage has a double WOW factor. Internally there are some wonderful features and the gardens are amazing with much loving care evident. Well done Pixie, Claire and Paul the cottage has been maintained superbly.
David
Ideal comfortable cottage in a beautiful garden
