The Lodge is a ground-floor property set on a 40-acre working farm in Five Roads, Carmarthenshire. This rural retreat sleeps four guests and sits in peaceful countryside with rolling views across South Wales. The farm has its own spring and welcomes dogs with dedicated facilities.

You're 2.6 miles from Pontyates village and 7 miles from Llanelli. The Swiss Valley Cycle Path runs just 900 metres away. Beaches at Pembrey Country Park are a short drive. Carmarthenshire footpaths cross the farm.

Inside you'll find two bedrooms. The king-size room has a walk-in wardrobe, FreeSat TV and ensuite with toilet and basin. The twin room suits younger children. We had a fantastic stay the lodge is super comfy and the extra touches like actually having useful kitchen supplies like sandwich bags and lunchboxes was great! The hot tub is fantastic and it is so beautifully quiet here . There is even a safe field where you can let your dogs run off the lead x. There are some great dog friendly walks and places to visit recommend Pembrey Country Park and the Greek deli in Burry Port. The hosts were super helpful and responsive and lovely to chat to xx. Highly recommend.

Just enjoy each moments all time. Communication with the host Sonia was excellent. She was always in touch and helped to get to the location easily. Very comfortable, warm, tidy accommodation and fully equipped kitchen with everything we need to feel as at home. A super bonus of this location was the woodfired hot tub with clean spring water. Thank you David for organizing it for us and it was extremely pleasant after returning from our daily trips. Will definitely recommend this Lodge in South Wales! Thank you very much Sonia and David! A great little place in the south of Wales a lovely couple who run it, where fantastic even before we arrived they were helpful as our sat nav played up and they gave us directions to the property. Had a perfect stay here with my daughter. The setting is idyllic for anyone wanting peace and quiet and relaxation although you are only a short trip from either Llanelli or Carmarthen with every town amenity you might want. The hosts Sonia and David are a lovely friendly helpful couple who go out of their way to ensure you have everything you could need. The caravan is beautiful inside and cleaned and stocked to a very high standard giving a luxury feel and outside the facilities continue with a fantastic hot tub and garden that gives you privacy and provides again everything you might want such as barbecue, loungers and seating to enjoy the setting in all weather. We couldn't have wanted more and would love to return.

Owners Sonia and Dave were absolutely brilliant and thought of everything. When we arrived we had a hamper in the caravan with a variety of beverages and biscuits. Really thoughtfull as they also left treats and toys for the dogs. Everything you could ever need was included. We loved the quiet location, the wood fired hot tub and the use of the bottom field to walk the dogs and to leave them run safely. We will definitely be booking to come again. Thank you so much.

The Lodge is in a rural position which makes it an ideal retreat as the scenery is amazing. The accommodation is spotless and has everything that you need for your stay. I wanted to share our fantastic experience during our recent stay at the Lodge property. The property was impeccably clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need and more. Sonia and David were absolutely amazing hosts, always friendly and helpful. We were especially touched by the thoughtful welcome gifts for our two dogs that were waiting for us upon our arrival thank you so much for that lovely gesture. We also had a lovely welcome pack, so we were able to have a cup of tea on arrival. The Lodge, had washing up liquid, cloths, hand soap, toilet paper all provided. The towels were lovely and beds all made up. The property is located in a very nice and quiet area, which made our stay even more enjoyable. It was not a long drive from the coast, allowing us to spend amazing time on the beach and then finish the day relaxing in the hot tub. After one rainy day we returned to a heated hot tub, that David had thoughtfully lit for us as we had requested some more wood. This was very much appreciated. We were able to jump straight in and warm up, and relax. Overall, I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a wonderful and relaxing getaway. Sonia and David were great hosts very welcoming and helpful. The lodge was cleaned to a high standard ,with lots of extras you don't usually get i.e cleaning products toiletries etc also we had our dog with us so I asked for a mop and bucket to be supplied, nothing was a problem. The hot tub was lovely just a little too hot but I think that was purely down to my partner getting carried away with the amount of logs he put in! A very peaceful getaway would definitely return.

The lodge was a perfect getaway for me and my family. The location was perfect and so quiet which is exactly what we were looking for, the lodge was tidy and well equipped with everything you would need for the stay. The kids really enjoyed the welcome basket fully of goodies. The hot tub for us didnt get hot enough but thats just personal preference the kids still went in multiple times and loved it. Inside the lodge there was also a handy guide of local walks we could on which I thought was good if it hadnt rained the whole time!. Only suggestion we had was when meeting Sonia and David when we arrived we were told how to work everything such as hot tub and which bins for recycling but after they had gone we had already forgot! I feel this could be helpful if it was written down and left in the lodge but didnt affect the stay in any way. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want a relaxing break away.

The Lodge was great and the hosts are really wonderful! ! Excellent directions and advice to find the place. Perfectly clean when we arrived, and well equipped. Excellent location for exploring the surroundings, and our girls loved the hot tub! We were only there a few days but got to The Mumbles, Pembrey toboggan ride and the beach, and Kidwelly castle before heading to Neath to watch our son play rugby. Well be back definitely!

The lodge is set in a tranquil and peaceful location, which was exactly what we wanted. The views all around were spectacular and all we could hear was the sound of the nearby spring and an occasional birdsong. The lodge is well equipped, and the woodfired hot tub is just a perfect addition to its facilities. During our stay we looked forward to going back to the lodge and having a relaxing time in the hot tub after a day's full of activities, exploring the area. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and attentive. They made sure everything was OK and nothing was a bother for them Just the nicest people. Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing laid back stay. It is also a perfect base to explore South Wales plenty of places to see and things to do, within 6090 mins max either direction. You are spoilt for choice.

The Lodge clean, comfortable with all facilities expectd. It is well situated for walks with the Swiss Valley cycle route close by. We spent time in Burry Port with a dog friendly cafe at Harbour Light Tearoom. Also close to Pembrey Country Park. Overall an enjoyable experience.
