Ty Cwtch Reviews

Had such a lovely time at ty cwtch, when we finally arrived we was greeted by Leon who showed us our villa , lovely and clean left us milk , tea coffee ,sugar fresh eggs from the chickens and ducks . .toilet rolls and towels .the villa is very roomy bed had a tv that came out of base . Plenty of hanging space for clothes . Lovely garden all closed in for the dogs . Very friendly hosts . Only probelm I found there wasnt a mirror close enough to plug for drying your hair ,great base for exploring wales . Spar shop in the village not walking distance though . The views were amazing and it was peaceful .
The accommodation was very good and clean with everything we needed. The owners were excellent helpful and friendly and we had a number of animal friends on tap . An excellent experience
A lovely place to stay, clean comfortable and spacious for the 2 of us and our dog. Safe enclosed garden with fantastic views and cute neighbours of goats, sheep, ducks, chickens and horses who we went and spoke to every day but they couldnt get into garden so was safe with the dog. Lovely welcoming and helpful couple who own the property. Very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend
Thanks so much for Kate and Leon for making our holiday one of the best we've had in a long time. Everything about the place was perfect . It is great to stop somewhere that the dogs are so well catered for , and not just tolerated . We will most definately be back next year.
We had a wonderful week at Ty Cwtch! The cottage was comfortable and cosy with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. It was ideal having a private dog walk straight from the cottage. Katie & Leon are the perfect hosts very friendly & helpful but unobtrusive. We loved meeting all their animals and having fresh eggs for breakfast! The location is great, it feels very peaceful and remote, yet youre within easy reach of many wonderful beaches, quaint little townsvillages and points of interest. The Penny Bar & Restaurant is only a 6 minute drive away, which offers excellent food & service at very reasonable prices. It also has a spa. Well definitely return, as it felt like a home from home, and theres so much more to explore in that beautiful part of Wales!

Had a lovely few days at Ty Cwtch Katie and Leon are excellent hosts. The property was perfect and had everything we needed. Loved the amenities it had available, great little walk to the lake and the dog field. Loved seeing the animals every day. We will definitely be back again next year to take in that perfect view. Thank you again.
The owners Leon & Katie are super hosts who will always assist in any requests, sadly the weather wasn't kind to us but that's life. The accommodation Ty Cwtch is a very comfortable place to stay.
Ashley
It's brilliant. We stayed in May 2025, and the location is great for exploring Camarthenshire and Pembrokeshire everything you could want is within an hour's drive or less it was nonetheless lovely to return back to Ty Cwtch at the end of a day out to help out feeding their goats, sheep and horses. Highly recommended. We'll be back!

I believe the mattress might need a quick inspection as it sinks on one side. Other than that, it's a brilliant location, ideal for days outbeautiful, welcoming, and comfortable.
Katy and Leon are wonderful hosts warm, friendly and so accommodating. Nothing is a problem for them. Our cottage was a joy and as we were there for the Christmas week every room was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Well equipped and very comfortable. We were welcomed by Leon brandishing a plate of delicious pastries for us to try! Yummy! They even left a bottle of mulled wine and Christmas Bakewell tarts on the table. But the jewel in this idyllic Welsh Crown was the little egg house with a variety of eggs from their own chickens. The best eggs we have had in a long time. This is a brilliant location for families with dogs andor children. There is a brilliant totally enclosed field for dogs of all sizes, accessed down a private and safe lane. Ty Cwtch has its own totally enclosed large garden which was much enjoyed by our two tiny doggies so you can let them out and leave them to play. There are rescue horses, sheep, gorgeous nosey goats who will come to the fence for a head scratch, and those chickens who gift us those wonderful eggs. The view across the valleys is as stunning as is the peace and quiet. We are planning a return in the summer. Highly recommended.

Many thanks for lovely break the hosts were exceptional
What a great place to stay perfect facilities inside and out the enclosed field was a real bonus, a lovely walk past the animals too. The welcome pack showing the history of the farm and all the animals hosts foibles was a lovely heartwarming touch! Our hosts were the perfect mix of being super friendly, totally willing to facilitate any personal wishes, and yet completely unobtrusive. Would 100 stay again thank you for our holiday experience
A lovely very clean and spacious cottage with a lovely view. The owners were very friendly and left us a welcome gift including delicious welsh cakes. We went to 4 dog friendly beaches Pendine sands and Wisemans bridge were the best. Also 3 castles Carew castle highly recommended. Narberth town was very good but Carmarthen was not great. The only thing that spoilt it was 2 very wet days.
Sandra
It was exactly what we expected and needed. Katie and Leon could not have been more welcoming. They did not crowd you but were there if you needed them.

Ty Cwtch is a lovely place to base yourself for visiting West Wales, it is a little bit out of the way but very peaceful. The property was spotlessly clean on arrival and the owners were very helpful and friendly but not pushy. The large enclosed garden was perfect for our two dogs to run around in while we sat on the patio area. There is a private walk for the dogs about 12 mile to a lake with a seating area. St Clears was the nearest place to shop and eat and their was plenty there for our needs.
Philip
A beautiful property from the perfect hosts. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for Katie and Leon. Everything you need for a perfect break was provided. The animals were a delight and very friendly. There is also a 2 bed property available on site. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Katie and Leon are the most welcoming of hosts! Nothing was ever too much trouble if needed any help with anything and always on hand. Gave us great recommendations of places to visit during our stay and we enjoyed spending time helping with feeding of the animals, great for like minded adults and families alike! Ty Cwtch had everything we needed for our stay, comfortable and clean with some lovely touches of a welcome gift of biscuits for both us and our dogs. Great enclosed garden and all in a perfect location with spectacular views! Definitely will be returning!
What a gem of a place! We spent 9 nights here with our dogs, the holiday let has everything you need inside, the owners where absolutely fantastic and excellent guides of the surrounding area, the views from the pad are to die for! They even have a fab dog walk that goes around their entire land which is an extra bonus! Owners leave you well alone but are there if you need them. Its in a perfect location for just about everywhere you want to visit. Absolute stunning part of the country! Would highly recommend this pad for its location, comfort, and amenities.. and yes we would defo go back. Thankyou so much to Katie & Leon you both were fantastic hosts.
Ty Cwtch is a beautiful cottage situated about 10 minutes drive from the village of St Clears which has ample pubs, take away's and food shops on the top of a hill, the fully fenced garden which contains a lovely patio with table and chairs log burner and barbeque looks out over a pretty valley on to rolling hills in the distance and was the perfect place for our 3 dogs to play when not on one of the many local beaches. The cottage itself was very well kept clean and tidy with a nice big lounge kitchen dining area nice well equipped bathroom and comfy bedroom. the owners of the cottage live next door Leon and Katie were a pleasure to meet warm friendly and very helpful. Wife and I and our 3 dogs had a great break and will almost certainly return to Ty Cwtch.
Joanne
