Brynawel Reviews

From the moment of arriving in the spacious parking, entering the well kept secure garden and opening the door, it felt welcoming. A generous gift pack, and beautifully decorated for Christmas. 1010 cleanliness, 1010 facilities, hosting 1010, i cannot praise enough the thought and care that has been given to guests arriving. In an easy location to the seaside with fabulous walks, and only ten minutes to LLanelli. We highly recommend this property, and thank the owners for a memorable holiday, despite the weather.
A little gem in a beautiful area of Wales. We enjoyed every minute, even on the one day it rained. Kevin and Bethany have made this cottage a home from home for everyone. The welcome basket boasted a bottle of Asti, Welsh cakes, tea, coffee and doggie treats. To say thank you isn't enough. They have gone up and beyond with their thoughtful gestures. The decor is very impressive and we want to return sometime next year. The Pembrey Country Park is something everyone should visit and The Ship Aground Inn, close by is hosted by Gavin who puts his heart and soul onto making everyone welcome. The food is of an amazing range and quality.
Lovely house 10 minutes walk from the harbour, beach and coastal walks . Great base for walking . House was very well equipped with everything we needed for a holiday . Delighted with the welcome pack. Burry Port itself has little to offer in wet weather so travelled about in the car a lot . Would recommend in the summer months for families as the beaches along this coastline are stunning .

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful house. It was very clean and tidy and the owners were I touch on the day of arrival to check in with us. Good to have on site parking. There are great local walks, and we visited Kidwelly Castle and Pendine Land Speed Museum from here. Burry Port is a well kept and interesting place. We got lots fresh air and exercise

Very bright and modern facility, kitchen well equipped and plenty of room. Large bed was a little soft , the twin beds were lovely for our grandsons. I feel the small room upstairs would be better suited as a ensuite facility if only fitted with toilet and vanity wash unit to avoid the trip down stairs at night for both adults and children. Steps from car parking area to garden a little tricky especially in the dark or when carrying cases or shopping.

Beautiful cottage and we really enjoyed our stay. All facilities are there what we needed. Host is very good and replied very quickly to my queries. Also provided us useful info. Will definitely recommend
Jennifer
We all had a very nice time and really appreciated various things like the beautiful garden, different access to the property because the stairs could be a minor challenge, the range of resources for the kitchen, the welcome treats & staying in a nice quiet area. Thanks again

We had a fantastic stay at Brynawel. The house was spotless and smelt amazing. On arrival we had a welcome pack which included a bottle of Asti and treats for our dog, which were much appreciated. The beds were comfortable on both rooms. The garden although a little noisy from the road traffic was fantastic for our dog, the little bench underneath the tree was fabulous to read on in the afternoons. My husband was impressed with the secure parking at the rear of the property. We always cook whilst we are away, the kitchen was very well equipped. The only criticism I have there was no oven gloves. Overall we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend Brynawel. Kevin and Bethan were very responsive and helpful with our additional night stay when Sykes couldnt be contacted.

Whilst we drive to destinations we dont like to use our car when we arrive as such it was very important that we had off road parking, tick. Close to public transport, station was 10 minutes walk away, tick and whilst we didnt use the local bus there was a bus stop across the road and around the corner and the T11 went to Carmarthen and Llanelli. An enclosed garden for the dog, tick the garden had sun all afternoon and it was nice to catch the rays in the evening. We required somewhere to do our shopping, the Coop provided that and was next to the station, tick there was a good selection of shops and cafes, and very good bakery. We wanted a local pub, we had a choice of three, tick there were two others, one didnt allow dogs, the other didnt serve cask ale. The Pemberton Arms across the road served a very good pint and we had Sunday lunch there. Somewhere to walk the dog, the beach was sensational, tick. The property itself met all our needs. The bed was comfortable, whilst I thought the road might be noisy this proved to be unfounded. Having sole use of a sofa was a luxury. There was a very attractive dining room although we didnt actually use it. The washing machine on a two week stay is essential, this was housed in a little shed, tick. We also required good weather, which was provided, tick and plenty of destinations to visit, tick. I would like to give Narberth a call out I visited early one morning, what a charming little town well worth a visit.

The property is absolutely beautiful with such a well maintained garden which is fully enclosed and safe for our little dog. Inside is really light and spacious with comfortable furniture and beautifully decorated. We had great weather so were able to enjoy the garden, the patio set and the bench under the gorgeous bay tree. So clean, modern and with all the cleaning materials needed to keep it that way during our stay. As food lovers, we appreciated the well equipped kitchen so we were able to cook at home as we love to do. Only issue we had was that the shower runs hot and cold so a little bit of the 'hokeycokey' was needed jumping in, out, in, out to get a warm shower. Absolutely didn't distract from a lovely holiday in a gorgeous property in a friendly little town with great rail links. Thank you aldo for the welcome basket lovely

The cottage was furnished to a high standard and spotless, quite a large enclosed garden which the dogs loved ,as we have two cockapoos. The private parking was a added bonus which we loved. Location was brilliant as there was a pub 200m down the road which was dog friendly in front bar, also not far from the town itself with a great beach to explore. we would certainly come back to Brynawel cottage as it ticks all the boxes. we have visited Burry port for a number of years and this cottage beats the lot in our books.
What a lovely cottage! !! The owners are so welcoming with a very thoughtful welcome pack! Beautifully kept and a great location to visit so many places. The garden is really secure and a lovely sun spot. We would definitely return! We struggled to find somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening which he owners tried to help us with. I can highly recommend Cattle & Co in Llanelli, huge portions and dog friendly.
Very convenient position and information provided was very useful. The house was well maintained and very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will come again with the family next time.
My team had a lovely stay here, the property was clean and everything was as listed! Thank you for your help whenever we needed anything.
This was our second stay this year and every thing was as good as last time. Except this time the owner Kev took me and my grandson to his place of work which he was very proud of,My grandson was buzzing when we got back to the cottage if that is not above and beyond I don,t know what is. once again thanks Kev. Nigel,Jo and Alan.

Had a lovely week, the property was spotless. The information provided by the owners was excellent. Beautiful garden for Archy to play in safe and secure with a added bonus of parking for one car off road at back of property. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Enjoyed so much have booked again in May .

We had a wonderful stay at Brynnawel as always will be coming again very soon x
This property is excellent. It is exactly as advertised. It is clean and comfortable with the right amount of facilities and well maintained. The property sits in a good location within Burry Port. Burry Port itself is a really nice friendly place. Unfortunately, not many places were open when we were there. The pubs only do food Wednesday to Sunday and the only restuarant was closed for annual leave. However, the takeaways are very good providing good quality food. We would definitely return as their was plenty of walking on the doorstep and place nearby to visit which did not require much travelling.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. Spacious, comfortable, very clean in a great location very close to the beach and amenities. I would highly recommend staying here we had a wonderful time, didnt want to leave and would definitely return. Great for families with dogs as the garden and front are very secure The property was so well kept you wouldnt no dogs were allowed so families without furry friends should not feel put off as this is great place to stay.
All was like on the listing. Easy, practical, amazing. The unique problem is the sound of the road. But nothing to do.
Lovely clean cottage, garden brilliant and secure for our dog,off road parking easy access from back of property, beautiful beaches nearby and lovely walks, highly recommend a stay hope to be back.
Great house ,amazing enclosed garden for dogs ,communication from the owners was great ,lovely extra bits left ,milk in the fridge ,we had a couple of little issues but owner sorted ,just one thing possible shower mat for shower tray ,great walks ,brilliant weather.

As a family of 5 who often stay in the area, this property was perfect for us. We were welcomed with milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and a few local treats. And the house had all of the other facilities we could need. Communication from the owners was brilliant, even before arrival and we felt that nothing was too much trouble if we should need to call upon them. The house was spotlessly clean and all the beds comfortable. Overall, this has been our favourite stay in the Burry Port area and we would definitely look to come back in the future. Thank you!
Amanda
Lovely home from home immaculate, and well equipped, love the garden and ... Lovely home from home immaculate, and well equipped, love the garden and enclosed parking super safe for dogs cant wait to re book
We had a great four days staying at this property with our Lurcher dog. The garden was very secure and also the parking area, so perfect for dog owners. The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed and was exactly as the description and photos. It is also in a great location for exploring the area. There were welcome goodies for our arrival which were much appreciated. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and we are hoping to come back again next year.
I stayed here with my wife and our dog. We found the property spacious and comfortable. The secure enclosed garden was brilliant for our dog. There are plenty of great dog walks within 10 mins drive of the property we particularly liked Pembrey Country Park and walks along the beaches by the harbour. The secure off street parking was also appreciated.
We spent four days at the cottage with our dog. We chose the house because it had an enclosed garden which wasn't too big, so our dog was always in sight. The house was very comfortable and in a convenient position to visit places of interest. I personally prefer a tv lower down rather than on the wall but realise this is the way a lot of people have them now. The house was on a main road so was noisy, but overall a very good stay.
Claire
Lovely property. Clean and tidy . Home from home. Coming from a remote location found the busy road noise took a bit of getting use too but wouldn't put us off coming again. Welcome treats were a nice touch.
