Coeden Bach Reviews

Lorraine
Among home everything you could want whilst on holiday. Great location for surrounding area would Def recommend !
It was a lovely cottage, had a lovely weekend, bonus having the hot tub. Totally relaxing lovely walk with our dogs and grandson on the beach.
What a welcome to a lovely cottage. Very thoughtful hamper on arrival. Cottage clean, comfortable and a real home from home. Enclosed garden for our dog. Great location for exploring and an added bonus having the hot tub to return to after some long dog walks. Matt and Dawn are extremely helpful with advice and recommendations. Will definitely recommend and return.
We loved the cottage & the Hot tub was a lovely addition to the cottage especially being in a private location. Dawn & Matt were fabulous hosts & will definitely be returning one day Brian, Suzanne & Lillie
We had a fantastic time, the beaches were pristine and only a 15 minute walk away, plenty of shops just around the corner and the cottage was beautifully kept. We were welcomed with a lovely hamper filled with tea, coffee and even some dog treats for the pups. Our hosts were perfect and even brought over extra pads and bandages when my dog cut her paw at the beach she's healed up now thankfully. The garden had plenty of space for her and my rather bouncy child to run about in and the hot tub was amazing especially on our last day when we had a bit of rain. The bathrooms are upstairs, so if you have a disability that makes stairs difficult this might not be an ideal place to stay, but we were able to manage and there was enough space to store the wheelchair once folded. We also didn't receive any complaints about our little ones rather loud and vocal stimming in the garden, something that we really appreciate because we know they're loud but it's not within our or their ability to control. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will absolutely be back again next year.

The accommodation was great, it was home from home. The jacuzzi was an amazing extra and was used every evening. The beach was about a 15min walk to the beach. The beaches were outstanding, not busy and clean. Dog friendly too.
This was our second year at this wonderful holiday home, we loved it so much we just had to return! ! Once again we had the most wonderful time, the house and garden are beautiful, the views are amazing and it's so quiet there. There's a secure garden which is perfect for the dog, a washerdryer and clothes line so we managed to keep on top of our washing, which is so much better than taking it all home. There was lovely welcome gifts on arrival including some treats for our dog, plus a hot tub to enjoy in the evenings, absolutely perfect. Matt and Dawn are brilliant hosts and always help out quickly with any issues. Thank you for another lovely year at Coeden Bach!!

A lovely homely house. Clean, well equipped kitchen all appliances worked well. The hot tub was great and cleaned and levels checked during our stay Nice lounge, comfortable beds, good showers. The garden was lovely. Dawn and Matt, the owners who lived next door were friendly and helpful when needed, without being obtrusive.
Overall the property was very clean and comfortable. The post office closed some time ago.
We have stayed here many times now and we love the house which was very clean and comfortable. Lots to do in the area and Crazy Crepes and the Lolfa cafe are great.
Gillian

Christine
We had such a lovely stay in Burry Port. The house is outstanding in regards of equipment and design. It was a good feeling to have the owners around if needed. We enjoyed our holidays very much.
Kathryn
Beautiful home from home. Amazing location just a short walk from stunning beaches. Hot tub was lovely and bottle of prosecco, milk, welsh cakes and fog treats were a welcoming touch.
William
Perfect for our family short break

We had such a wonderful week at the cottage. Everything we needed was already there..including some bubbly in the fridge Matt and Dawn were very accommodating and on hand any time day or night to help. Would highly recommend Coedon Bach for a holiday.

We really enjoyed our stay at your property thank you for so much for going ... We really enjoyed our stay at your property thank you for so much for going above and beyond to make us feel welcome You pulled out all the stops for us, thank you so much
Estelle
Over all we had a fabulous time at the property. Great communication from owners previous to travelling to the cottage and a lovely welcome pack on arrival, flowers, bubbles, milk and coffee. Even some doggie treats which were welcomed by our dog after the journey. Cottage was cosy, warm and inviting with a great garden for dogs. Fully enclosed and clean. Parking was no issue at all regarding other reviews we had read. We chose the cottage due to the proximity to the beach and local amenities and it was perfect. About 10 minute walk to a fabulous beach and a couple of minutes to the town. We found the beds to be extra comfortable and the surrounding area very quiet so had some wonderful sleeps. The cottage had everything you would need regarding plates, cutlery, tea towels and it has been the most fully stocked kitchen we have stayed at. Plenty of towels for our stay plus hot tub towels which were a bonus. Hot tub was perfectly fine, hot and bubbly. Sofa was very comfyshowers were great and no issue with water pressure or Wifi. Overall the cottage was clean and tidy however, attention to a few minor issues would make it a 5 star. The minor issues did not hamper our enjoyment of the stay. Upon inspection there seemed to be cobwebs on the kitchen ceiling within the windows, the toaster seemed broken on one side and one bin did not stay closed properly both of which I have made the owners aware after our stay, they did reply saying they had spares and would have happily replaced and a knob required fixing in the bedroom. We have stayed in numerous properties over the years and always like to give feedbackideas as to how to elevate customers stay even more. Suggested a shoewellie rack in the kitchen to keep shoes tidy and off the floor. Some hooks on the wall to hang doggie leads, bags etc to keep them off the floor and tidy. There are hooks in the living room but not great to trample through living room in wetdirty clothes. A few comments were mentioned in the feedback book being a little confused by the recycling. It is listed in the Welcome Pack however it maybe a good idea to laminate the information to put on walls in the kitchen. Overall we had a lovely time and will back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Michael
Had a relaxing week in a fabulous property. Very comfortable with everything you need. Safe and secure for pets. Will return soon.
The house is beautiful. Lovely decor and everything you could want and we loved the little touches like blankets for when it's cold. We did find the gate a tad awkward especially as I have arthritis so a handle would be good but everything else was perfect!
Cosy base from which to explore the surrounding area. All modern conveniences at a reasonable price.
A very comfortable and well equipped property. Only a short walk to the town, harbour and beaches. As dog owners the property is ideal with an enclosed garden which was well maintained. There is also a hot tub for added enjoyment. Highly recommended.
Bridget
We arrived to a lovely welcome hamper, the cottage was as described, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was an added bonus and was maintained by the owners without us even noticing, we really enjoyed our stay at Coeden Bach
Had a wonderful week at this beautiful holiday home. The views were amazing, definitely going to miss opening the kitchen doors to that view every morning! The beds were so comfortable, we all slept really well. The welcome pack was a lovely thought and the owners were very helpful in answering any questions we had. The hot tub was just perfect for chilling out at the end of the day. We are hoping to come back again next year! Thank you for a lovely holiday!
A lovely comfortable house in a great location for visiting Carmarthenshire and its surrounding areas, such as Pembrokeshire and the Gower. As well as the house being very comfortable, the garden is lovely to sit in and is very dog friendly and secure. Burry Port has a lovely harbour and beach within easy walking distance, and the town has everything needed for a self catering holiday. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Nicola
Lovely property, very clean, comfy beds, equipped with everything you could need and a lovely welcome pack. Nice garden, walking distance to the harbour and shops. It is also very quiet. The only downside for us is we booked because of the downstairs bedroom for my elderly mother but unfortunately she still had to go up steep stairs for the bathroom so suggest not booking if someone has accessibility issues. We would book again if in the area.
We had a fab week here once we got over the stress of getting our 2 cars parked it was tight and not much room to swing in or reverse in or out bear this in mind if your cars are estates, SUV or people carrier or bigger than a Focus! !! The only other minor issues were no wardrobe hanging space other than in the ensuite bedroom, and we had a few dead flies drop down from the skylight windows in the kitchen. Overall the house was great, garden appreciated by the dog, hot tub used every day, and a great base to explore the area with the most gorgeous beaches and great places to eat!!
Michelle
We are 4 adults & 2 small dogs who had the most relaxing and lovely 3 day break. Everything in the cottage was perfect & the hot tub was a great way to finish each day after a long walk. The beds were comfy & everything was provided for in the kitchen. The cottage is in a great position for exploring the area & we couldn't fault anything. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend & hope to call back one day soon.
Annette
Beautiful house in an excellent location. Everything you could want was in close proximity cafes, pub, shops, restaurants and the beach which was immaculate. Bed was comfortable. The owners had thought about everything you need to make the perfect holiday. Secure garden that the dogs loved. The hot tub was great after a long day.
We had a wonderful return stay over the Easter weekend. The house was cosy and well kept, and although the weather was mixed, we managed to get out for a beach walk each day. The beds are really comfortable and the hot tub was a particular highlight to ease tired bones after long walks! Thanks once again to Matt and Dawn for the use of their beautiful place.
Our fourth time of staying to have an early Christmas with our grandchildren. Cottage is superb and beautifully furnished. Matt and Dawn are always on hand to solve any problems.
This was our 2nd visit with our dog, but our 1st visit as a family of 4! Came for our little boys 1st birthday and it was just made so stress free high chair , baby gates and cot bed all provided. Hosts were lovely kind people who made us feel very welcome and helped us set up the cot bed. Hot tub very clean, checked in the early mornings but you wouldn't know because they do it do quietly as to disturb you. A couple of board games are provided in the living room and there is a fire grate in the downstairs bedroom to keep little fingers away from a nice hot fire on a cold night. Basics of tea, coffee, milk, dish washer tabs provided on arrival but if you need anything or you intend on self catering, Coop is a 2 minute walk away, or there's a large ASDA 15minutes away. For eateries we tried the local coffee shop which did some delicious sandwiches... also try the local bakery. All in all I love this house and I can't wait to return. Fiona, Rob, Owen and Tyson
Caroline
Lovely property with the benefit of a wonderful hot tub and enclosed very nice garden. Constructive criticism would be that the extraction fans in the bathrooms are very loud and stay on for an excessive period which does impact on sleep. Upgrade of the pillows on bed main bedroom would add comfort as currently not very comfortable. Otherwise a lovely property offering all required.
Just a really lovely little holiday cottage, perfect for a family or even 2 couples. We stayed with our two children both under 4 and our dog. The owners provided a high chair, stair gate and travel cot which saved us vital packing space in the car and there was a lovely welcome pack on arrival, including coffee and tea but also a bottle of bubbly and some dog treats which the dog greatly appreciated!! The owners live locally and checked the hot tub from time to time, but we never actually saw them, they were very respectful of our space. Lots of little touches that make the space more welcoming extra towels for the hot tub, blankets for snuggling up outside, wood for the fire, little ornaments and books that make it feel more like a home. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
Lilian
The cottage was lovely, everything we needed was provided, clean and comfortable and the hot tub was a really nice touch after a long day, it's well placed for the beach and pembury park and dog friendly as well, local shops and bars are just a short walk away and a really comfortable bed was very welcoming after a long day, the owner stayed in the background but was there if we needed him which was nice, allowed us to get on with our very enjoyable holiday, would definitely recommend a stay here.
Love this house. Its perfect for a break to see our son and his family who live only 15 minutes away. Back again just before Christmas.
Sharon
We cannot express just how fabulous this holiday cottage is. We absolutely love it and because of that we have just spent our third consecutive year there for a fortnight this time and invited other family members too. It is truly home from home. The owners cannot do enough to support you to have a relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable stay. The cottage is always clean and tidy, the beds are wonderful for great sleep, the hot tub is a real bonus and the garden has proved excellent for our grandchildren and our dogs. Top, top marks for this brilliant place, which is really close to all the local amenities too. We love it!
Lovely property and garden, hot tub too. Easy walk to beach and local shops. Could do with larger bath towels.
Lorraine
Lovely holiday home, garden was very secure and generous for our two Lab cross dogs. View from the garden is stunning, and the hot tub is a bonus. Beds are all comfy. TV has basic channels but the WiFi is very good, we used iPads & laptops for filmssport, etc with no buffering. Our eldest was staying with us & came from Cardiff on the train, easy commute to Bury Port station. Loads of dog walking paths in the area. The beach is clean and beautiful. We didnt use the games room, but got the sun brolly from there, it could do with some ventilation. Thanks for a relaxing week.
Excellent accommodation, hot tub was a bonus and we all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
