Rhydygroes Reviews

Lindsey
Grand house set in vast gardens which we really enjoyed exploring, as did our dog. Really not keen on the single track road to the house but we got used to it. Good size rooms plenty of space to spread out. It's cosy and warm when the weather isn't so good. The answerphone on the landline kept kicking into action and made us jump every time! Unfortunately we found the shower tray and bath were not clean and had a greasy film and dirty water marks especially the bath. Comfy sofa and beds however 13.5 tog quilts at the time of year were far too warm so we took the quilts out of covers and just used the covers. Some sort of presence in one of the bedrooms with things going bang in the night was a bit unnerving. Perhaps other guests have had night visitors whilst staying here.....

Love the gardendogs&dad couldnt believe it. The house was brilliant, small issue got fixed quickly. Would change dining chairsnot our taste. main bedroom bed quite low again not our preference. Everything else perfect.
Lesley
Lovely well equipped house in lovely grounds. Ample parking too. Plenty of space for a family holiday 6 adults grown up children with partners A very nice welcome pack which included bits for the dog too plus a very well put together folder with all the information needed. Thank you, we hope to be back.
The house was lovely, very rural and peaceful, the grounds are amazing and both our kids loved running around and playing in the garden. The owners have thought a lot about entertaining the children in the house and garden which is great. The beds are really Comfy, enjoyed the stay very much.
Sharon

The welcoming pack was really appreciated and after a couple of days received a nice text from the owners asking if everything was OK.. The cottage itself was very cosy and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The gardens and surrounding areas....WOW, the dogs were in doggie heaven

Brilliant accommodation and grounds. Fully equipped for four adults and 2 dogs. Warm and airy. Easy travel distance to Aberaeron and surrounding places. Owners very friendly and helpful if needed.
Sheila
We enjoyed the very quiet location, and the extensive grounds were lovely to explore with our dog. The house was clean and comfortable, and the rooms bigger than we expected from the photos. When approaching the property from Cross Inn, be sure to turn left after the garage, not right as stated in the instructions. The postcode given works well with satnav, so easiest just to use that.
Joseph

Ginette
Fabulous accommodation and grounds in a lovely peaceful setting. My dog loved the gardens and we were lucky to have 5 out of 7 days of sunshine.
We had a lovely 4 day break, the dogs loved it. Fab place to relax
Caroline
The cottage is very clean and comfortable. The owners have provided ample towels although we had brought our own, toilet rolls and bedding. The kitchen had everything you needed for cooking and the dishwasher is a bonus. There is a utility room with a large drying rack which came in very handy when we became soggy from the rain! As we visited during a period where rainfall had, and continued to be fairly heavy, we couldnt use the garden very much as it had become a bit of a quagmire! The children did enjoy the rope swing when it was finally dry enough to use it. Despite the weather we did visit a variety of places including Devils Bridge, Poppet Sands Cardigan, Aberystwyth and Dolaucothi gold mines. All of which were very enjoyable to visit.
Lovely cottage, comfy beds, comfy sofas. Nice big dining table where we had our meals and played boardgames. Kitchen well equipped to make easy meals and there was a selection of kitchen stables as well as coffee and tea. Owner's were super nice, messaging before the holiday to day bring wellies and they let us use the cabin in the garden, which has an extra bed. Dog loved the garden and we walked around it a lot, definitely needed wellies. Our dog is reactive and was lovely being completely alone, the odd car does occasionally past the house and the neighbours cottage is offset across the road, but we felt completely isolated as and peaceful. You can do walks and bike rides straight from the house, everywhere was quite muddy, so wellies or good walking boots a must. We also took some day trips out, lots to see and do in the area.
Pamela
We have loved our stay, very warm and comfortable, so peaceful and fabulous grounds. Everything we needed. We should of taken wellies but it didn't stop us walking around. The sounds of the stream and wild geese added to it.If you want complete peace and quiet this is the place to stay.Even better when all the trees are out. A definite return for us.
Lovely tranquil holiday home, had everything that was needed and more! The bedrooms were lovely and the beds were comfy. Our dogs loved roaming the land as did we, the hosts were lovely and welcoming! Will definitely be booking again soon!
Amanda
Beautiful peaceful location fabulous property with everything we could have wished for and more. Cosy and comfy with lots of room for everyone and plenty to explore outside. Lovely welcome pack for the humans and our little dog was a nice touch Our hosts Tony and Jules were really helpful, even sending their super helpful neighbour when we had a bit of trouble with a door.
