The Cheese Loft Reviews

We arrived and left within an hour! It was extremely dusty and had lots of large cobwebs around the property. The host was EXTREMELY rude and sarcastic! We ended up booking another property costing us another 600!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone, and have filed a complaint with Sykes Cottages. Shocking!!
Very steep mossy slope up to the steps to the apartment. The loft needs a GOOD spring clean to remove cobwebs and dust between furniture. One broken chair out of the 3 provided. Velox windows unable to open, so door had to be left open to ventilate the smell that came from the bathroom. Old bottles of shampoo left in bathroom. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and with a good clean and windows etc. sorted the place could be spectacular.

A lovely cottage in a very quiet location. Very well equipped with all we could need. Really comfortable bed.
Really lovely flat, very comfy and felt totally at home. Loved coming back to it each evening, to relax. Main bedroom is vast so really more suitable for a couple. Having said that the very small 2nd bedroom was fine for 5 nights v comfy bed and bedding. Lovely bathroom. Loved it!! Teeny issue is the pic of the balcony and view must be v v old as there is no view as shown, but a load of quite mature trees around the garden instead. But other amazing scenery round and about. Also no info sheet about facilities had a bit of bother with TV until we found the 3rd handset by accident. Satnav sends drivers to your destination is on the left when in fact it's on the right! Overall excellent, would definitely book again as a good base for lots of places to go, things to do, with really nice owner.
Lovely cottage the owners very helpful on where to go. A lot of nice places to visit.
Andrew
What a gem beautiful views . Peace and quiet and Karen fantastic highly recommended.
Nicola
The perfect place to relax and unwind. A beautiful property in a stunning location.
Jonathan
Loved my stay and for me it was absolutely ideal. Great location quiet but only a few miles from town. Cottage was warm and cosy with everything I needed including a VERY well stocked kitchen. A family staying might want to check it's suitable for them. The second bedroom is small and didn't seem to have curtains and the accommodation is up a steep path and narrow staircase. For a single person or a couple wanting a wonderful getaway it's perfect.
Very lovely, cosy, warm and comfortable. Beautiful surroundings and great location. We'll be visiting again in the future. Thank you.
Leanne
A beautiful stay in a clean and cosy place. , Karen who owns it was lovely and friendly. Everything we needed was there and a nice little touch was the biscuits and wine that was there on arrival for us.

We loved this place it was quiet and so cosy and warm it had everything we needed and the little touches like the bottle of wine was lovely, we were sad to leave wish we stayed longer, we will definitely be coming back.
Had a lovely stay at the cheese loft. Amazing area for walks. We felt relaxed and welcome. Met the owner and was always saying morning and having conversations with her. Our only disappointment was that we dident stay longer. Our first time in south wales and If we were to go back again would definitely think about staying here again. Also amazing views from the windows Thank you again for a coumftable stay.
Although having a comfortable stay and a good location for what we needed we were surprised by location of the property being down so many unsafe and winding roads, this was not mentioned at all in the listing and if we didnt have a big car would have been a serious concern. The property is also located up two flights of metal stairs, also not mentioned in the listing, which were slippy and for people with poor knees like ourselves or even in the dark this can be very dangerous. I do believe if we knew these things previously we wouldnt have booked this property but the owners were very nice and accommodating and the property would be a good place for a short stay.
The owners gave us such a warm welcome and the wine and cake was definitely appreciated after a long drive. The cottage was beautifully decorated with everything required and so much nature on the doorstep. We would like to thank the owners for their kindness, going over and above board to support us with our daughters transition to university. We will certainly be back hopefully for the next 3 years at least.
The Cheese Loft was a fantastic place to stay. Everything was provided and our hosts were excellent and helpful. We could find no fault at all. Thank You Karen and Les.
Claire
