Llys-Yr-Onnen Reviews

Lovely property wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Problem with heating and water on arrival but was immediately rectified by owner. Great property great location and great town.
Yet another wonderful week in the property. Excellent location for shops, restaurants and train and bus station. Very warm and cozy and plenty of room for four or even five adults. My brother and I both have limited mobility yet found the property very accessible I would merely suggest fitting a rail on the entrance to the property to hold onto as there are only a couple of steps and similar feedback regarding the beautiful shower room as would benefit from a seat and handrail as other than that very accessible. Will be staying again early next year so looking forward to being there again already
The property was clean. The bed was comfortable in the bedroom by the main door, the shower was good and the washing machine was great. I cannot comment on any other facilities as I did not use them. On arrival there was a leak from the sink in the bathroom, water going all over the floor, I put a bowl under it and it was fixed the following day, although I didnt appreciate my personal stuff being used scourer to I assume clean up around the sink area. The front door opens straight onto the dining area so not a big or comfortable space to use. The porch area, where the washing machine is, needs a good clean & freshen up. The bed in the bedroom by the front door is raised and you cannot walk round it, and if two people are using it one would have to climb over the other to get out, it was also a bit difficult to make this bed. The sofa and TV look new, but the rest of the furniture is very dated. The outside seating area was not inviting and the view is of the back of flats and, Im assuming, there emergency stairwell. The property is in need of some tlc. Although not listed there is a dishwasher. The location is great and the train station and town are about a 6 min walk. You can hear noise from the pub at the top of the road, but only in the lounge. This could be a great property if it was brought up to date. I was booked in for 28 nights but I left after 7. The owner did respond immediately to issues raised and was helpful & understanding regarding my reasons for leaving early. The location of the property is great, but unless its brought up to date I would not stay at this property again.

This was my second stay at this very convenient cottage in the centre of Carmarthen. Walking distance to the train and bus stations, weekly parking available at the train station too. The cottage was quiet, comfortable and ideal place to explore the area. Plenty of hot water and heating and good cooking facilities.
Patricia
Quirky cottage very close to town. A coup!e of maintenance issues
An excellent property better than advertised. Well equipped and very comfortable many thanks indeed
The cottage is very well appointed, comfortable and clean with everything you need. The central location is excellent and very close to everything. It is near to the bus and train stations makes it easier to travel to local attractions and other locations in the area.

I enjoyed a wonderful week at LlysyrOnnen. It is situated very close to the centre of Carmarthen yet on a remarkably quiet street. A walk of two minutes brings you into Guildhall Square. The town has a good range of shopping, restaurants, pubs and bars, all close by. The property is very nicely furnished and equipped, and was beautifully clean and tidy. The car park at Carmarthen railway station is just a five minute walk away across the pedestrian bridge over the River Towy. I paid online in advance for a seven day ticket 19 at time of writing and it all seemed safe enough. Visitors with cars will need to do something like that as there is no parking on Quay Street or anywhere very close. There were no problems with the car park, anyway. I'd really like to stay here again one day.
A delightful property in a perfect, central location. We'll definitely be back!

The cottage was excellent on every level. It was very clean, bed was comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with crockery, glasses, knives etc. Heating worked efficiently, I was nice and cosy. The shower pressure was excellent, with plenty of hot water. Location in town was superb, walking distance to various supermarkets, restaurants and of course pubs! Being on my own, I felt very safe and secure. Will definitely book again next year.
Richard
Lovely cottage. Very cosy and comfy.well equipped.Great location.2mins shops, bars, etc. Train Station literally across the road.Bus station 2 min walk.
Helen Jessica
Lovely historic street, quiet but central. Nicely decorated and has everything you could need. Will very likely return as we have relatives in Carmarthen. Thankyou very much
Judith
The cottage was charming and in an excellent location, 2mins walk to the very centre of town, but tucked away in a quiet almost trafficfree road. When I had a query, the owner responded quickly. During my extended stay, I found the lady 'Maria' who maintained the property for the owner, to be a huge asset, friendly, positive, nothing too much trouble ...despite obviously being very busy. Sweet cottage, great location.
Brilliant, first class property and facilities. Thank You
Susana
The cottage was very well kept and was absolutely perfect for everything we needed. We were walking the Carmarthenshire section of the Wales Coast Path and transport accessibility could not have been better just a couple of minutes walk from the bus station, and 5 minutes from the train station. Various supermarkets also within a 5 minute walk, including Lidl and Marks and Spencer. Also a very nice caf with awesome cocktails, Cofio, just around the corner in the square! The kitchen was very well equipped for everything you need for cooking, and the bed was very comfortable and spacious bedroom. Very nice living room space with a comfortable sofa and massive tv screen. Very quiet location, although there is a pub half a minute up the road and the noise can be heard in the living room, you can't hear absolutely anything from the bedroom! Thank you so much for a perfect stay, and also the little touches which were very much appreciated the milk, wine and cherry cake
Isabella
Very comfortable and well equipped and much more spacious than it looks from the outside. A good place for us to stay when visiting family in Carmarthen. Parking not a problem as the station car park is only a short walk away. You can pay the parking on your phone so you don't have to go back to the car to top up.
We had a lovely stay. It is such a great location. The town centre is just a very short walk up the road. We had everything we needed. Even the knives in the kitchen were sharp, which is a genuine first for us. Thanks for everything.
Mckenzie
Owners were lovely. Place was very homely and clean. Would highly recommend
Great location, very quiet, incredibly close to shops, restaurants etc. Comfortable, clean and warm.Well equipped kitchen but a cafetiere would be a nice addition.Outside patio area ok but only 2 chairs and as accommodation can sleep 3 people another chair might be helpful.
Barbara
Very comfy, very nice design, spotless, and in lovely location. I would suggest leaving information about days for leaving out recycling, compost etc. good for the planet!
Beautiful, charming cottage and lovely town. Well worth it. Enjoy..
Nicola
This small but perfectly formed cottage was great for our family of three. It was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with nice touches from the owners, like a welcome bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. Dont be put off by lack of parking. You can park at the station, five minutes walk away over the bridge, for 16 a week.
