Hen Brynbedw Reviews

Sharon
Upon arrival we were met by Tony the owner. He was warm and welcoming and showed us round the cottage. The cottage was well equipt and had everything we needed. Including some homemade Welsh cakes that were perfect with a cuppa! The parking area out the front was perfect and easily accommodated 2 cars. The enclosed garden was great. An escape proof area for the dog as it is walled. We would have definitely have used the outside space more if the UK hadn't been rained on constantly for months beforehand as it was still drying out a bit. We hope to return to the area at some point and would have no hesitation in booking again. Thank you Tony and Cathy for letting us stay
Charlotte
This holiday home is amazing, very clean and well proportioned Garden was 100 secure for any dog as walls on all sides with nice garden furniture to relax on Hosts Tony and Cathy were lovely very friendly and helpful Lounge is very large and airy due to faulted ceiling. Kitchen has everything you need including washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer and dish washer Bedrooms were cozy with comfy beds and lovely bedding The cottage setting was perfect hill view all around with horses and cows lovely countryside Would highly recommend to everyone

We had a lovely time nice and quiet great hosts 10 out of 10

A lovely welcome awaited us from Tony and Cathy along with delicious welsh cakes, butter and milk, much appreciated after our journey. We couldn't fault this lovely accommodation which provided everything you could wish for. The enclosed safe space at the back was lovely to sit in at the end of the day. Ideally located for beach or countryside with a number of interesting places to visit. We couldn't recommend this highly enough for either couples or families if you want a peaceful holiday.

Just returned from a fabulous weeks stay with my son, parents, and 2 dogs. We were met by the owners who live in the detached property next door to collect the keys they were lovely, friendly, and suggested some dog friendly places for us to visit. The property was amazing and deceptively spacious I loved the tiled floors throughout as it made it so much easier to clean on rainy days. This is the best property we have stayed in, in terms of what is provided washing machine, dryer, laundry detergent, washing up liquid, dish cloths, tea towels, hand towels in the kitchen and both toilets. And the garden is the most secure garden we've had perfect for the dogs and my son, and a proper sun trap on the few hot days that we had. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants a quieter holiday and is happy to travel to other places for days out.
Deborah
Lovely cottage in lovely area. Cottage had everything you needed. Apart from the washer being faulty and very loud and the owners dogs barking at every little noise, we enjoyed our stay there. The area is lovely for long walks, but, not so good for the beach. It takes a while to get to the beach due to narrow, winding lanes. When you finally get there, there is very little parking. Overall the cottage was lovely, the owners were sociable, friendly people and we had a good holiday.
Cheryl
This property is just perfect, comfortable, spacious and airy with a lovely walled garden that is safe for the dog. Owners live next door so are on hand if needed but are not intrusive in anyway. Wonderful area to explore and only a short drive to the coast Cant wait to visit again
A lovely clean, functional & comfortable cottage hosted by friendly & ... A lovely clean, functional & comfortable cottage hosted by friendly & accommodating owners living in the farmhouse next door, we very much enjoyed our stay & visiting the beautiful surrounding area
This is a stunning little cottage if you want a quite week away. We were made to feel so welcome. Was perfect and just what we needed. The cottage was very clean and one of the loveliest cottages we have stayed in. There is nothing you need as the cottage is so well equipped. Inside the cottage there is ample room as it is very spacious. We took both our dogs, Secrets Bearded Collie and Frodo Cavapoochon and they loved it as It's in a very quiet area with enough garden space for the moggies to run and exercise in complete security. We had a great stay and would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone. We have booked again for later this year.
Teresa

Charlotte
Absolutely lovely cottage owned by lovely mark and Cathy. The facilities were brilliant, it was clean, well equipped and the enclosed garden perfect for our two dogs
Richard
Lovely clean and well equipped cottage. Friendly owners who live next door. The only thing we would consider changing is the tv which was quite small and did not have an HDMI port to attach our Firestick
Jacqueline
We had a wonderful holiday at Hen Brynbedw. Cottage so comfortable and clean. Everything we could possibly need was there. So many places to visit . Tony and Cathy so welcoming and only live next door.
Lovely cottage which has everything you need. Tony and Cathy are excellent hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The little extras of milk, butter and Welsh cakes was a lovely touch. This was our second visit and are looking forward to going back in the future.
Amazing property. Loved the peace and quiet. Our dog loved the garden and we loved the cottage. Would happily go back. Tony and Cathy were great hosts. It was spotless when we arrived and had everything we needed.
Annette
Love quite place to chill and relax ,everything you could want .
Excellent holiday cottage. The location is great for the countryside and beaches. Plenty to do. The cottage is well equipped and very clean.
The property had everything you could think of, Great for the dogs we have a saluki so exercise off lead can be a problem but no worries with this property, the owners just next door if you need them, helpful but not intrusive.
Matthew
We had a fabulous stay with our two dogs and they particularly loved the walled garden. Cathy and Tony were most accommodating and the property was immaculately clean and every cupboard opened had everything in it that we could possibly need! We are definitely coming back next year.
Robert
Hen Bryn Bedw provided an enjoyable base for our holiday, The lounge. kitchendiner were spacious & well equipped the bedrooms small with limited hanging facilities but comfortable beds albeit the singles are only 2ft 6in wide. The garden is 100 secure with min. 2m walls surrounding. The lawn is raised on the left side which meant we were able to eat our meals at the garden table & enjoy the countryside view over the opposite wall. We had warm weather all week & the bungalow was plagued by flies. Repeated fly spray proved ineffective. We spoke to the owners, who live next door, they are aware of the problem but have not found a solution.
What a wonderful location and Cathy and Tony were very welcoming and helpful. Loved the enclosed garden with two huskies it was great to leave the door open so they could lay outside. Would highly recommend fabulous stay.
This was the best cottage we have ever rented! . It felt like we were the first people to ever use it as it was so clean and well maintained, the level of equipment provided was exceptional, it was a real home from home. The owners Cathy and Tony live next door and were a great source of friendly information and help at any time. The pictures on the website do not do this cottage justice, the garden alone was amazing, it was totally enclosed, large, and private. It is paradise for pet owners! The cottage is not actually in the village, it is a couple of miles outside amidst farmland and is very quiet and peaceful, it is very well located for access to all the south west wales resorts and towns which take between 30mins and 1hr 10mins to reach. It was my first visit to this area and i was impressed by the beauty and diversity of what was on offer, we will definitely return again to this property. Many thanks to Cathy and Tony for such a lovely stay!
Lovely property. Garden ideal for our young dog as totally enclosed. The only slight downside was the bedrooms being on the small size.
Brenda
The cottage is in the middle of beautiful countryside. The enclosed garden is excellent for dogs and children I suppose and the hosts, Cathy and Tony are helpful without being intrusive.
We had a lovely few days here there was a,welcome pack of butter Welsh cakes and milk. The cottage was spotless and the back garden was ideal for the dogs..Would definitely think about going back there.
The photos on the website dont do it justice.
Vernon
The owners were lovely hosts. They ensured we had milk in the fridge for when we arrived, so that we could enjoy a cuppa. All of the information we needed to ensure that we would be comfortable were supplied. We would very much enjoy staying at this venue again.
Cheryl
Tony and Cathy were excellent hosts and the cottage was beautiful.
The property was spotlessly clean. The pictures don't tell you how warm and cosy the cottage is. Cathy and Tony were perfect hosts just next door but never on the doorstep. Our dogs loved the space and you can tell Cathy and Tony are dog loversowners as everything was so dog friendly from the flooring to the perfect garden. Plenty of walks from the front door , a short car drive or a bit further afield. We didn't eat out but plenty of shops to buy fresh produce.
The cottage was very comfortable, with everything you could need. The shower was powerful, the sofas very comfy, and the large enclosed garden was great for our dog and if the weather had been a bit warmer we could have sat out there too!. This is a great region of Wales, you can visit the nearby coast with its pretty towns and dramatic clifftop walks, or spend time in the forests and hills surrounding the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the owners were very welcoming and helpful in finding local walks.
Owners very welcoming. Cottage comfortable, warm, spotlessley clean, very well equipped and very homely. Would highly recommend. Enclosed garden great size and is fantastic for dogs and children. Beautiful location. Will definitely return.
